Teena koutou e ngaa whaanau, 

Next week is our last week of the term and we will also be acknowledging and celebrating Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori - Maori Language Week! 

Updates for next week: 

Franklin Year 7-8 Mixed Basketball - Tuesday - We wish all our tamariki well who are attending the Franklin Basketball tournament on Tuesday. Please contact Whaea Nicky or Matua Cade if you need any information. 

NEW ENROLMENTS OPEN DAY - WEDNESDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER - We are having a new enrolment open day on Wednesday filled with lots of fun activities and even some bouncy castles! If you know anyone who is thinking of enrolling at Te Paina School, please encourage them to come! It will be on from 10am to 1pm. 

HERO DRESS UP DAY - FOR HEART KIDS NZ - THURSDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER - We encourage ALL of our tamariki to come to school on Thursday dressed as your favourite superhero! We are also collecting donations for Heart Kids NZ. Please see our Facebook page for more information or scan the QR code on the front door at the school office. 

NEAREST AND DEAREST DAY - FRIDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER - From 11am - Please join us for a very special morning where we invite our tamariki to bring along their nearest and dearest for a special morning tea and sharing of their learning. We invite Grandparents, parents, Aunties, Uncles, Cousins... anyone who our tamariki connect with who are their nearest and dearest. Please come along and join this special occasion. 

LAST DAY FRIDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER - SCHOOL CLOSES AT 1PM - Please note the earlier finish of 1pm on Friday 19th September. Please note there will be no staff available after this time to supervise children. Any children not collected at this time will be placed in our after school care service at your expense. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Morena Harakeke whaanau

Unfortunately, due to the weather, the Tama Toa Festival  for the Year 7 and 8 boys will not be going ahead today. The organisation running the festival is hoping to reschedule for Term 4 if they are able to book the field again.
