Nestled in a pretty valley close to Mercer village, approx 3 kilometres from SH1, Te Paina Primary School is situated in a picturesque rural setting.
Within this calming and inspiring location, our learning programs and sincere, caring teachers nurture our students and encourage them to experience learning success. Our highest measure of success is that the majority of our students love coming to school.

My name is Adam Tamariki and I am very proud to be serving as the Principal of Te Paina School. We are an amazing Year 1-8 rural school situated in the heart of the Mercer community. We have a fantastic team who are passionate about our tamariki and making learning fun and engaging. Our akonga are actively engaged in their learning journey. We encourage our students to explore, discover and lead their learning through hands on experiences and a range of learning opportunities. Please come and visit us at Te Paina. REMINDER - Book in your Whaanau Learning Conversation time!

Kia Ora whaanau,

Over 50% of our whaanau have now booked their times for whaanau learning conversations next week. Awesome! These families are in the draw to win a grocery voucher for Christmas!

Please use the Skool Loop function to book a time for next Tuesday or Wednesday.

A reminder that school closes at the earlier time of 12:30pm next Tuesday 10th December. There will be no staff available to supervise after this time.

REMINDER - Pool will be open for children at lunchtime!

Kia ora Te Paina whaanau,

For the last two weeks of school we will open the pool at lunchtime for our tamariki to use.

Children must have the following items in order to swim:

- Swimming togs

- Their own change of under garments etc

- A towel

If they do not have these items they will NOT be able to swim.

Thank you for your support to ensure our tamariki are prepared and have ownership of what they need.
