Last term, Te Puea House emerged as our overall winning house! Because of how busy the end of term was, we unfortunately weren't able to celebrate their achievement with a proper reward at the time.
To acknowledge their hard work and success, all students in Te Puea House are invited to wear home clothes to school this coming Monday.

Kia ora Te Paina whaanau,
We are writing to inform you that we have had a reported case of head lice in your child's class.
Head lice are very common in school-aged children and are easily spread through head-to-head contact. To help prevent them from spreading further, please check your child's hair tonight and monitor it regularly over the coming weeks.
How to Check and Treat Head Lice
If you find live lice or eggs (nits), treatment should be started as soon as possible. You do not need to keep your child off school if they are being treated.
Detection Wet Combing: Wash the hair with normal shampoo and apply plenty of conditioner. Use a fine-toothed detection comb (available at any pharmacy) to comb through the hair from the roots to the ends. Check the comb for lice after each stroke and rinse off any conditioner.
Medicated Lotions and Sprays: If you discover live lice, you can purchase medicated sprays or lotions from a pharmacy or supermarket. Apply the product according to the packet instructions. Most treatments require a second application after 7 to 9 days to kill any newly hatched lice.
Check the Whole Family: Inspect every family member's hair at the same time, but only treat those who have active, live lice.
Thank you very much for your cooperation in keeping our kura healthy and lice-free.
Ngaa mihi,
Whaea Haley
Kia ora Te Paina whaanau,
Could we please ask that no one parks on the school field at pick-up today, it's currently very boggy.
