My name is Adam Tamariki and I am very proud to be serving as the Principal of Te Paina School. We are an amazing Year 1-8 rural school situated in the heart of the Mercer community. We have a fantastic team who are passionate about our tamariki and making learning fun and engaging. Our akonga are actively engaged in their learning journey. We encourage our students to explore, discover and lead their learning through hands on experiences and a range of learning opportunities. Please come and visit us at Te Paina. We would very much love to have you be a part of our learning community here at Te Paina School.

This Friday TDM Construction will be starting some culvert work for the intersection upgrade planned for Koheroa/ Glass Roads. Please note there will be disruption and traffic management in place on Glass Road for the day.
We ask you to be aware of this and take care when dropping off and picking up your children on Friday.

POOL NOW CLOSED - Please return all pool keys to the school office - New keys will be issued in Term 4. Please return these as they will no longer work in the new term. Thank you for your support over the summer season.
WINNING HOUSE PRIZE - The winning house will be announced on Wednesday! You have to be at school to get the big term prize!
LEARNING CELEBRATION FRIDAY - You are all invited to come in from 11:30am Friday to celebrate our learning for the term. You are more than welcome to take your children home for the holidays straight after you have seen the amazing learning for the term.
SCHOOL CLOSES AT 1PM FRIDAY 11TH APRIL - A reminder school will close at 1pm on Friday for the holidays. Staff are unavailable after this time to supervise your kids. If they are not collected by 1pm they will be left with the after school care programme and you will be charged. We thank you for your understanding as our teachers and staff deserve to have their break with their families too.
TERM 2 BEGINS MONDAY 28TH APRIL - School for Term 2 starts on Monday 28th April. We wish you a wonderful Easter Break and Anzac holiday in the term break!
